Hematology Oncology APP – Santa Barbara County, CA
A premier cancer center with over 20 years of service in Santa Barbara County is seeking an experienced Hematology Oncology APP, preferably an NP, to join our growing team along the Central Coast of California. This is a unique opportunity to help develop a new oral chemotherapy program within an established, highly supportive cancer center.
Position Highlights
- $200,000+ base salary + $25,000 quality incentive
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- No weekends, holidays, or call
- 100–150 patient panel
- Autonomous practice with strong physician and clinical support
- Billable visits
- Opportunity to help build a program with the goal of growing to three APPs
Responsibilities
- Manage patients receiving oral chemotherapy
- Monitor labs, medications, treatment response, and chemotherapy-related side effects
- Coordinate closely with pharmacy and the oncology care team
- Support medication compliance and patient education
- Develop and improve workflows as the oral chemotherapy program expands
Qualifications
- NP preferred; PA will be considered
- Clinical experience in hematology/medical oncology strongly preferred
- Experience managing chemotherapy side effects and toxicities
- Comfortable with lab and medication management
- Oncology compliance experience
- Ability to work independently and autonomously
- Infusion experience is a plus
