Why Join Austin Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center (AVES)
Austin Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center (AVES) is seeking a passionate Generalist with clinical research experience-or a strong interest in developing clinical research expertise-to join our newly established Clinical Study Center in Austin, Texas.
AVES is the first hospital in the Ethos network to establish a dedicated Clinical Study Center, creating a unique opportunity to combine hands-on patient care with innovative clinical research that helps advance the future of veterinary medicine.
You'll join a small, collaborative research team and partner with a board-certified Medical Oncologist and dedicated support staff to conduct sponsored clinical research trials, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) studies, proof-of-concept investigations, and industry-sponsored projects.
You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with leading veterinary pharmaceutical, pet food, medical device, and diagnostic companies while providing patients access to innovative and, when study-funded, fully funded treatment options.
This role is ideal for a well-rounded clinician who enjoys variety, values evidence-based medicine, and wants to make an impact beyond traditional general practice.

Austin combines big-city amenities with an active, outdoor lifestyle and is known for its live music, diverse culinary scene, arts and culture, and abundant parks and trails. - Manage a diverse caseload extending beyond traditional general practice, including chronic disease, pain management, and emerging areas of veterinary research.
- Work within a structured research framework where projects are provided, allowing you to focus on clinical execution, patient care, data collection, and study protocols rather than grant writing.
